About J-7

Jezek Alvarez also known as J-7 in the EDM community was born and raised in Old Westbury, New York. Jezek grew up with the love and passion of music at a young age of 13 years old when his parents bought him his first instrument, a keyboard from Sam Ash. Over the years he started getting involved in his school bands and found his passion playing the drums. As years progressed, Jezek became involved in a youth church band called "Higher Ground" as he continued drumming to Punk Rock melodies and modernized church ballets. During his time in the band, Jezek made himself a nickname of J-7. The nickname seemed to come easily to him as it was "J" the first letter of his name and "7" which are the seven characters that make up his last-name "ALVAREZ"

In 2014, Jezek was introduced to his first DAW called Ableton Live 8 through his good friend and music producer Luis Ramos aka RDM Beatz. With the help of RDM, Jezek was able to learn how to program Hip-Hop and Trap beats to urban style melodies. Later that same year, J-7 and RDM Beatz collaborated on a track called "Finally" who featured Spek and E from MosWanted. This was the first track ever released by J-7 that was placed on his SoundCloud page and submitted for radio plays.

New Year's Eve of 2014, Jezek was invited to go see Deadmou5 live for the very first time and little did he know that night was going to change him forever.
Hearing DeadMou5's complex bass, drum patterns, and seeing the incredible impacted his music had on the crowd and himself, influenced Jezek's career in becoming an EDM music producer.

In 2015, Jezek bought a house with his new-wedded wife Ashley in Reading, PA in which he transformed his entire basement into a recording studio called "J-7 Studio". Jezek continued to work with RDM and local artists to continue honing his skills in producing and recording EDM music.

In 2016, the J-7 logo was born with a custom-made image of Anubis "Egyptian God of Death". Jezek always had an infatuation with villains and how dark and complex their storylines were in movies and TV. Jezek believed that Anubis would be a great representation of a villain character for J-7.

J-7's style of music is G-House mixed with Dubstep type melodies and or sounds. J-7 continues to work on making a dark-villainous style of music so that people would know the sounds of his music. He is currently working on his latest EP called "Black Label" with his mentor Zen World to hone his skills in the musical world of G-House.
